From Stage Lighting/Sound to Acting/Writing/Directing & RADTV
I am Dr. Margaret Wheldon, D.Div., M.Sc., known as Diddy or Dr. Dids—a passionate creative with over 35 years in film and theatre. My journey began early: acting at age six, modeling for Bridestyle magazine by nine, and serving as a Sound and Lighting Engineer at Nottingham Playhouse by 15. This foundation propelled me into roles as Show/Production Manager, Creative Director, Filmmaker, Actress, writer and Artist.
From my YTS at Nottingham Playhouse, I transitioned to supporting artist work in film and TV in 1989, honing skills in stage management, lighting, acting, producing, and directing. Highlights include acclaimed short films like Embers of Redemption and Trapped in their Dreams, plus the internationally recognized, award-winning feature script "Temporal Echoes." As Filmmaker, Director, and Actress, I craft impactful narratives inspired by classics such as The Purple Rose of Cairo, Highlander, Terminator, Blade Runner, Indiana Jones, Brazil, and Rebel Without a Cause.
Beyond film, I create art, pen the enchanting children's series Clara Rose's Adventures in Mysterious Mystara, and produce over ten music albums as Diddy Wheldon, featuring AI singers Anya Cadence and Indigo Vox. I volunteer at Southwell Minster and Music Festival, attend Nottingham Playhouse Writers Room, and run the Dr. DidsTV channel on RADTV, and am an advocate of BSV.
I inspire young creatives through discussions and multimedia projects, volunteering as a vision mixer at Southwell Minster and in Bible study classes. My global adventures—working on a cruise ship in international waters, at the heart of Cairo, teaching kids in Beijing, and collaborating in Italy and France—have enriched my cross-cultural perspective, and I'm eager for more. I also partner with Lonely Stallion Productions under Eye to Eye Films while mastering AI filmmaking.
As an International Parliament Honourable Diplomatic Peace Ambassador for The New World Alliances, I promote global peace and creativity through cross-cultural collaboration. I'm seeking funding for "Temporal Echoes" while exploring imaginative themes in children's literature, guided by sustainable creative practices.
Shaped by challenges like Complex PTSD, my journey has deepened my portrayal of human experiences. With a passion for storytelling and education, I'm excited for collaborations and media innovation.
